Assoporti (the Italian Association of Ports)

Assoporti, the Italian Association of Ports, is an organism that puts together Port Authorities, other special bodies in ports, Chambers of Commerce of port cities and the Italian Organisation of Chambers of Commerce. The Association, together with its members and in cooperation with other Associations has, amongst its objectives, that of realizing policies for the development of the field, as well as the enhancing of advanced technologies. As part of its representation activities Assoporti, participates and contributes to the discussions on a European Union level regarding Trans European policies. The Association sustains policies that regard the Network of the Motorways of the Sea and, as a member of the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO), it actively participates in discussions regarding the development of the transport system. On July 13th SRM and ASSOPORTI signed a Cooperation Agreement with the aim to realize joint studies on the Mediterranean ports’ activities.



Confetra – Italian General Confederation of Transport and Logistics

Established on April 13, 1946, it represents at political, economic, social and union level the entrepreneurial categories of the sectors of transport, freight forwarders, logistics and goods storage, as well as the connected and ancillary sectors. Confetra has its representation at the National Council of Economy and Labor (CNEL).
Confetra is organized in 19 national Federations and 61 local offices.

Federagenti, the Italian Federation of Ship Agents and Ship Brokers, was founded in 1949,  is the only Italian maritime association which operates in all 144 Italian ports. Federagenti includes 20 local associations and more than 600 companies. Federagenti activity includes the promotion of the Italian port system and maritime traffic and plays a strategic role in the Italian port system.




Since 1946 Fedespedi has been the only business organisation representing and protecting the interests of international freight forwarders. Its members represent over 90% of Italian freight forwarding companies: an industry that generates an overall turnover of approximately 15 billion Euro per year – 20% of the whole turnover of the Italian logistics industry – and counts over 50,000 operators.
Fedespedi can rely on a network of more than 30 local associations; it is a member of Confetra (Italian General Confederation of transports and logistics) and it represents Italian freight forwarders in Europe (as member of CLECAT) and worldwide (as member of FIATA).The following organizations are part of Fedespedi: ANAMA (Air Cargo intermediaries), ANTEP (Port Terminal operators) and FISI (Industrial freight forwarding companies).

Port Network Authority of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea

The Port Network Authority of the Central Tyrrhenian Sea is the governing organisation of the port area of Naples, Castellammare di Stabia and Salerno. The Port Network Authority is invested with the following powers: policy, planning, co-ordination and control of port operations; ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the common/shared parts of the port area; granting and control of the activities related to supply by payment to port users of general services.

Port Network Authority of the Ionian Sea

The Port Network Authority of the Ionian Sea is a public body whose main task is to identify, programme, co-ordinate and control commercial and industrial activities carried out in the port area. The projects to exploit fully the port structure and simultaneously plan new facilities, with the support of a consistent program of investments, have strategically contributed to realize the objective of the Port Network Authority: the development of both the port and the local territory through a readjustment of the transportation system, which will act as a driving force of a process to encourage the growth of new productive sectors.

Port Network Authority of the Northen Central Adriatic Sea

The Port Authority of Ravenna operates to direct, plan, coordinate, promote and control port operations and other commercial and industrial activities in the port, administers the State’s maritime assets, provides for the maintenance of the port’s seabed and the construction of major port infrastructure financed by the State and guarantees the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the common areas.

Port Network Authority of the Sardinian Sea

Port Network Authority of the Sardinian Sea, established by Port Authorities reform law in 2016, has a strategic role in the ports of jurisdiction. It manages these ports: Cagliari, Foxi-Sarroch, Olbia, Porto Torres, Golfo Aranci, Oristano, Portoscuso-Portovesme, Santa Teresa Gallura. It has been officially founded with the designation of the President, Massimo Deiana, in July 2017. The role of Secretary General has been conferred to Natale Ditel.




Port Network Authority of the Strait of Messina 

The Port Authority of the Strait of Messina manages the ports of Messina, Tremestieri, Milazzo, Reggio Calabria and Villa S. Giovanni. It is engaged in realising an integrated  network of ports that serve in the mobility of 12 million passengers and 3 million cars and trucks in the area of the Strait of Messina every year. Sustainable infrastructure, operational excellence, alliances between local areas and digital transformation are the main strategic objectives for creating useful and safe infrastructures which offer efficient and easy-to-use services. These ports have always, in fact, represented the hubs of a single intermodal reality and the final link in the transport system of the European Scandinavian-Mediterranean corridor.





Unione degli industriali della Provincia di Napoli

The “Unione degli industriali della Provincia di Napoli” which is part of Confindustria, is an association representing  companies producing goods and / or services belonging to all market sectors operating in the Province of Naples. Within the association companies are grouped into 15 product specific categories. The Unione  represents its members and carries out services and acts as a consultant for them. Companies are also divided into two further groups; the Gruppo Piccola Industria (small businesses) for companies not exceeding 50 employees; and the Gruppo Giovani Imprenditori (young entrepreneurs) for those who perform entrepreneurial or directional functions in a company and are younger than 40 years old.
