SRM invites you to participate at the International Seminar “Competitive Ports in Historic Cities”, organized by RETE – International Association for Collaboration between Ports and Cities, of which we are scientific partner.
The event will be held on Friday 1st December, in Venice, at the Hall of Portego, located in Palazzo Franchetti, from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.
The seminar aims to reflect on how to create an intelligent relationship between port and city to facilitate the competitive development of port activities in a better quality of urban life.
Alessandro Panaro, Head of Maritime and Mediterranean Economy SRM, open the works together with the Director of the Scientific Committee and Professor at Valencia Polytechnic University, Vincent Esteban, and the Head of Logistics Department and Associate Professor at Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg, Michele Acciaro.
The interventions will be developed on two main themes: New routes for a renewed Mediterranean protagonist and the Port-City relationship.
There will also be a delegation of experts from Argentina, invited as Guest of Honor. This choice is motivated by the realization of numerous and significant interventions on the waterfront areas of many Argentine port cities, the increasing and widespread interest in many provinces of the country for the themes of the port city relationship and the recent entry into the RETE network of its three important ports.
